Time to move on

Every election time sees the Lib and Lab supporter on here having a go at eachother, but never before, on CS or the past CW board, have i seen it carry on and on and on after the election is over.

Its ridiculous.

Its done. Its over.

Let it go until the next election.

Re: Time to move on

I do not see the opening post as an order, I do not see DDB ordering anyone to do anything and I see no personal attacks by her, I do see her frustration with the threads but she'll probably get over it in time and  glance past the political threads just like I have.

is there only one Nev on the boards ?

I'm sorry, what does that mean?

The fact that you posted  telling others to stop what you consider to be personal attacks had me puzzled .

Perhaps you could consider who people use to post (the name they click on to post) and previous postings. Or not.

what's the problem now Nev ?

what are you telling me to do ?

Where did I tell you to do anything?

Seriously, some of you need to get off the net. And I'm not talking about the OP.

People who come here to chill and take time out from the "real world" could hang out on the new CI board and discuss the kardashians or latest crime drama.

I feel a bit sad if such people do actually exist...A park or beach might be a better option.

Why? Should they only come here to post about politics?

PM Abbott leaves Christmas tree legacy

that's lovely

Tony Abbott wants to start a tradition of prime ministers putting up the same Christmas tree each year and collecting gifts for charity.

Mr Abbott put up a 'Wishing Tree' in his office at Parliament House this year, becoming the first leader to do so.

More than 500 gifts were put under the tree, given by guests to Christmas functions hosted by the prime minister.

The gifts have been handed over to the Salvation Army for distribution to the needy.

Mr Abbott updated his parliamentary members' interest register this week to list the tree, which had decorations donated by Kmart.

'At the end of my term as prime minister, I will be donating the tree and decorations to my successor who I hope will maintain this Wishing Tree' tradition,' he wrote.

the problem is, if this was the opening post of what would be perceived as a political thread, it would get trashed.

Re: Time to move on

re meeps comment if the tree story was topic of a thread ... Just like any Labor Party good news stories got trashed before the election. I am not saying that is how it should work, but really why do the LNP supporters expect any different when they carried out an orchestrated campaign on CS agains Labor non-stop. A lot of those posters were not regulars on CS, some are still here.

They (LNP supporters) just can't seem to handle any criticism of TA... isn't that very unnatural, weird?
