totally agree with you Amy.
Labs justify their excessive anti-government vitriol by comparison to the anti-Gillard/Rudd posts made in the lead-up to election.
May I remind Lab supporters that Mr Rudd and Ms Gillard enjoyed a huge amount of goodwill in the early stages of their respective governments, even by Liberal supporters, until the cracks started showing in the Labor party, well into the terms of either.
Time to give it a break, ppl. By all means there is room for political comment, but these continual and spiralling frantic attacks against Liberal party members and our Prime Minister, be they political or personal, just to avenge yourselves for the perceived insult by a few anti- Rudd/Gillard posters here, and fact that ALP lost is just ridiculous.
And it's not helping the ALP look any better either.

Ive been posting on this board, and before this board, on the CW board, for 12 years.
I have started probably hundreds of threads over that time and contributed too many more.
I shared joy and sadness on this board. Ive laughed and cried and made many friends.
If i want to come on here now and express my disappointment at what the boards have become.... I will do just that.

Its ridiculous.
Its done. Its over.
Let it go until the next election.
DDB all opinions are valuable, but I feel people become defensive when they feel they are being dictated to and told to move on. Their right to post on a Community Board providing they abide by the posting rules shouldn't be monitored by members who want to chose the flow and topic of conversation.

Australians are women and men,gay and straight, single, defacto, separated, divorced and /or married ,we are varied in our beliefs, abilities ,appearance, languages spoken ,likes and dislikes
and we are supposed to respect that aren't we ?

I could start a thread saying I don't like threads about climate change or conspiracy theories or photo sharing, not my right to do that though.
Just because someone has been a poster here for a long time doesnt make their view any more important than someone who has just started posting here. Times change, topics change, people change..forums change...can't live in the past.

Did you read polocross's posts in this thread? Hmm not a Labor supporter that is for sure.
Perhaps it is time for those who say .. time to move on... time to give it a break.. to stop opening and reading any politcial threads on CS. That could be the answer imo.

As much as I get sick of the political threads and don't read them most of the time, we are a free country with free speech so people can chat and whinge about whatever.
I think the best thing to do is not enter the threads if you don't want to. Even if the title is ambiguous and you enter once, you know not to do it again.
