To what lengths are you prepared to go?

This is a more serious question than the one Donna poses.

To what extent would you be willing to go to shield some one?

Let us assume that you know of someone who has committed a serious offence against society.

 You are 100% certainof the facts as you are an eye witness.

By serious I am referring to murder, **bleep**, child sexual abuse, theft of million of dollars of peoples savings, terrorism, treason and any like violations of similar seriousness.

Would you uphold the law and report it or would you turn a blind eye and not get involved?

This is a serious thread so please observe the seriousness of the topic.

Who would you be sheilding, and what are you sheilding them from.

Is it ancient history or current.

The possible 'crimes' you mentioned all involved physical harm or the potential for physical harm to another human being.  Seems to me sheilding someone from that truth is actually leaving them in a position of danger, therefore not sheilding them at all

No, I would not be shielding a criminal who caused serious damage to another person.  I would act in a way that the law requires me to.

But, had I lived during lets say the 1930s in Europe in German occupied country, and there would be so called criminal needing help. I would do the best I could to help them; I certainly would not report them.

it is incumbent upon us as human beings  to report a serious crime. It is a criminal act to know about a serious crime & not report it because then you are aiding and abetting a criminal which is a crime.

Humans are born with an inbuilt & inate meter to gauge what is right or what is wrong unless you are a sociopath, so hiding a serious crime is going to eat at you until it destroys you, one was or another.
