Well that would leave me with nobody to vote for. I still havent voted yet, too busy running the kids around. Might do it on my next trip out. The school was looking pretty deserted when I went past before so hopefully I've missed the rush.
Selective quoting there.

My comment in its entirety, relates directly to the Political Party the OP is trying to promote.
Oh I see, you're ok with normal scaremongering, you just dont like the bigoted type. I most humbly apologise for misunderstanding.

I thought the future was uncertain? How do you know that sea levels will rise? If we can't predict the population how can we predict sea levels?

Putting on my grammar police hat here, yes you did misunderstand:
Tthe exact meaning in the sentence : Don't vote for any political party that uses scaremongering, including bigoted & racist slogans. lies in the use of that all important little comma.
Without the comma it would indeed mean what you suggested.
With the comma it means don't vote for any party that uses any form of scaremongering - including (among other things) the use of bigoted and racist slogans.

Well, we do get a fair bit of scaremongering NOW from the Abbott Govt -- the budget crisis (that wasn't ) .... etc etc. etc.
The 'fringe' political parties (one of which is the subject of this thread) go for "the Muslims are taking us over" scare tactics. Do they have any economic, education or health policies.? LOL
Still doesn't excuse you for only quoting half of my sentence and putting your spin on it... which was not its original meaning.

That assumption is/was incorrect. The apology after it does not sound in the least sincere.
I didn't ask you to quote half of my sentence and run with your spin on it.

I thought we missed out on the election coverage but it's being shown on ABC News 24 here in WA.
