SECRET recordings made by trouble-prone MP Bruce Flegg are set to reignite allegations he was offered an inducement to quit his seat for Campbell Newman.
The array of recordings, heard by The Courier-Mail, include a lengthy conversation in which Dr Flegg repeatedly discusses the resignation proposal and an offer of a plum overseas trade post.
Queensland's corruption watchdog, which previously investigated the bribery allegation in 2011 and found no evidence a trade commissioner's position was offered, has recently been handed Dr Flegg's series of covert recordings.
They include conversations with LNP president Bruce McIver, elder party statesman Bob Tucker as well as senator-in-waiting Barry O'Sullivan and expose deep-seated hatred within the party between key personalities, including several current ministers.
I guess he is in trouble.
