Tony Abbot just rang me

At least a recorded message from Tony Abbot from a private number, telling me who my local member to vote for was.

Is that allowed in the 3 day lead up to the election?

I'm offended.....all I got was a recorded message from an OAP on behalf of the Labor Party trying to scare me into voting for them.

Bit late...my postal vote went in on Monday.Smiley LOL

The LNP is not going to do much for pensioners. If those relying on the public system need medical help, will it be available? I think looking at what the LNP has done in Queensland put me off the LNP federally.

what is the point when people won't even see what is being done for them and call those who do and are considering  them 'unbelievable' ? They and others in similar situations and the services and quality of service they need now  and in the future will be in my considerations when I place my vote ...as unbelievable as that may seem to them.

Dementia and Veterans' Supplements

As part of the Living Longer Living Better aged care reforms announced in April 2012, new supplements have been developed to provide additional financial assistance to Approved Providers, in recognition of the additional costs associated with caring for people with dementia and mental health conditions.

These are:

  • the Dementia and Cognition Supplement in Home Care Packages
  • the Dementia and Severe Behaviours Supplement in Residential Care
  • the Veterans' Supplement in Home Care Packages
  • the Veterans' Supplement in Residential Care.
