Tony Abbott's Support Page

A reminder of the debt that Australia has, while Labor can bury their heads and deny it exists the fact remains we have a huge problem with debt and sooner than later the chips will fall, no business, no state and no country can keep operating in the red, eventually those we own the money to will own us. Who will own us?
The state of Qld has debt of $80 billion dollars, Labor are saying they don’t think it’s that bad, Bill Shorten on Australia’s debt, there is no debt crisis, there is a crisis and we are in this situation because of Labor, no one else and the bottom line is Labor can’t fix this problem, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.

We know the left hate with a passion, the truth is they hate themselves they also hate their country.

Australia needs to get behind our Prime Minister, the media attacked him for three years before he was elected that is not going to change. The primary reason why the left hate him is his policy on securing our borders.

Seldom has a prime minister taken office burdened by such low expectations as those loaded on Abbott. Once this might have been regarded as an advantage, a c...hance to surprise the electorate on the upside, as indeed Abbott tried to do. Here are just a few of the Abbott government’s accomplishments, in no particular order:

• Electricity bills have fallen by 10 per cent, the biggest drop ever recorded.

• Jobs have been created four times faster than in the period before Abbott came to power and the economy is growing at 2.7 per cent.

• Peak debt has been sliced by $150 billion.

• People are still dying to come to Australia but no longer die on the way.

• The live cattle trade is running again and the price of cattle has gone through the roof; ditto sheep and dairy cows.

• The free trade agreement with Japan has cut the price of Mazdas, Subarus and Toyotas by up to $1000.

• Roads are being built and fuel, despite the return of petrol excise indexation, is cheaper in real terms that it has been since 1998.

One could go on, but the Abbott-haters have made up their minds; to them the bloke is un¬electable, evcut otice of imported card - thsts en though, self-evidently, he is electable.

How would psychologists explain this reaction to a leader who is barely 16 months into the job and displays the instincts of a genuine reformer?

I read that dodgy opinion piece in The Australian the other day.. Classic right wing rant.

Slightly lower price for imported cars - that will impress Australian workers in the car industry who lost their jobs. Low income people who can't afford a brand new car will be impressed too ( not).

Psychologists  would need to study the PM to find out why he FAILED as PM in 16 months.

The funniest bit in that article above is trying to give credit  to Abbott Govt for the worldwide lower petrol prices at present. Lower petrol prices has norhing at all to do with the excise tax either.

Roads get built no matter what Govt is in. We have had some massive highways rebuilt in my area in the last 10 years, one underway and two more on the way.

Liberal Backbencher Angus Taylor says a leadership change will not fix the problem and he is 100% correct. People don’t want to contribute to helping their country anymore they want everything for free, they have a sense of entitlement they really don’t deserve.

When they recover from the sense of entitlement and reach pension age the generation they will expect to keep them won’t exist, you can’t milk the system for ever sooner or later the well runs dry.

Australia has a huge debt and when people wake up that it’s not going to pay itself off we may get somewhere. We also need to realize that Labor have no hope of paying off this debt, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.

Just another Lib who would rather blame the people than look at the policies.

It's the policies and sttitudes stupid, not the people at fault.

As usual you miss the point.

Right wing opinion piece crowing how new imported cars cost $1000 less, as if that would be important to a great number of Australians..especially those who lost their jobs in car industry in Australia recently  and those who can't afford new cars - those people are voters.

There was very little, if anything, in that opinion piece as to this Govts achievements that had any substance.

Re: Tony Abbott's Support Page

here's a little reminder for those who've forgotten Hockeys words when interest rates were lowered under the labor govt.

yesterday he was taking credit for low interest rates   Woman SurprisedWoman LOL

August 2013 he said

Mr Hockey says the expected cut shows Labor has lost control of the economy.

“Of course interest rates on average should be lower but if interest rates come down today it is because the economy is struggling, not because it’s doing well,”
