Tony Abbott's Support Page

A reminder of the debt that Australia has, while Labor can bury their heads and deny it exists the fact remains we have a huge problem with debt and sooner than later the chips will fall, no business, no state and no country can keep operating in the red, eventually those we own the money to will own us. Who will own us?
The state of Qld has debt of $80 billion dollars, Labor are saying they don’t think it’s that bad, Bill Shorten on Australia’s debt, there is no debt crisis, there is a crisis and we are in this situation because of Labor, no one else and the bottom line is Labor can’t fix this problem, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.

I asked this question several months ago, and stressed it was a serious question which I wanted the right here to answer.  So far, nobody has said a word in answer.  They must have an opinion on it, but why are they so scared to voice it?

Shrugs - perhaps they don't genuinely support Abbott in the first place?

I haven't seen any offensive graphics with Abbott in them either. Critiicism of a current Govt, isn't 'hate... it is criticism.

Just because you don't FIND them offensive, doesn't mean they're not. Not at all, if they come from mainstream media sites, (which most do) then they are suitable for all ages..... nothing to do with my level of  what is offensive.

I would expect to have an image that I posted removed if it was offensive, seeing as that has never happened I can state I don't post offensive images/photos.

That Tony Abbott/ Julia Gillard table has been debunked on CS before. (originates from facebook).

Just because it comes from facebook doesn't mean it's "debunked". It probably came from somewhere else before it was posted on FB.

All  the items in that facebook sourced table were debunked in depth on CS in another thread.

Facebook posts have 0 credibility. They are equivalent to gossip.  That made up table is a good example of no credibility. Came from somewhere else.. lol. some other unreliable source you mean?

Yes, there seems to be a big reluctance to post on topic, even from the opening poster.

Re: Tony Abbott's Support Page

And yet here you are posting "off topic".

Some people can not handle a "flight of ideas" can only adhere to a "train of thought".

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: Tony Abbott's Support Page

Of course, your post is on topic &  without any snide  personal remarks/accusations about posters here .Woman Wink

I have tried to engage the OP with on topic reasonable questions, but no go.

The question is: Why has Tony Abbott lost so much support so early in Term One? From his backbenchers, some MP's right down to people (voters) who partake in polls?

and yet here we are discussing another item of gossip, with gleeful relish from the lefties, that Mr Abbott will be sacked within weeks. Yet there is no official report of it anywhere.

That made up table is a good example of no credibility. Came from somewhere else.. lol. some other unreliable source you mean?

In case you didn't know, all those cartoons posted in this thread are made up by someone or other. So those posted by the lefties are reliable, and those by the righties, not?

Your'e just not paying attention.

His popularity has gone down to a vindictive biased media.

There have been plenty of articles on this thread covering that very topic.

Re: Tony Abbott's Support Page

Appprenticeships Australia are making headlines today with Tony Abbott’s new campaign to boost skilled workers by providing up to $20,000 in a HECS-style interest free loans to apprentices, to help with upfront costs and reduce high drop out rates.

The coalitions newest campaign – this apprenticeships Australia loan scheme is proving a powerful play; designed to assist with the costs of tools and equipment, acknowledging the need for financial aid to assist apprentices to complete training.

Abbott’s Trade Support Loan scheme will target Australian apprenticeships where national skill shortages are apparent and will provide access to up to $20,000 over a four year period to ease financial pressure that so often causes young apprentices to drop out of apprenticeship.

Trades with a strong skills shortage and with a 50% drop out rate are targeted
  • Plumbers
  • Diesel mechanics
  • Electricians and
  • Fitters

Australian Apprentices will have to pay back the loan once they have completed their apprenticeship however this is only when they earn over a set threshold, similar to the HECS loans for university students who have to begin repayments once their salary hits $49,000.

Makes more sense than funding Uni degrees to ppl to work overseas, or can only find work they're over - educated for .
