A reminder of the debt that Australia has, while Labor can bury their heads and deny it exists the fact remains we have a huge problem with debt and sooner than later the chips will fall, no business, no state and no country can keep operating in the red, eventually those we own the money to will own us. Who will own us?
The state of Qld has debt of $80 billion dollars, Labor are saying they don’t think it’s that bad, Bill Shorten on Australia’s debt, there is no debt crisis, there is a crisis and we are in this situation because of Labor, no one else and the bottom line is Labor can’t fix this problem, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Really? I'm shocked! that's how intense the smear campaign against our ELECTED PM is?
If this grassroots display of genuine political dissent shocks you, maybe you need to get out more. It's not a smear campaign, I mean it's not as if the'yre calling him a cheat, a liar or a fraud. They're saying one thing: he's hopeless.
Intense ? A few posters up in a couple of CBDs ? Mmmmm.
Also you may notice that it doesn't address his race/ethnicity, physical features, religious affiliations in a negative way - it merely says what the majority of people (judging by polling anyway) already know. Hopeless.
As for ELECTED (caps noted), yes, he was elected as the Member for Warringah or whatever seat he is in. Elected as the PM ? Well, that was done by his party. Do you think he should get special treatment as the PM ? Kid gloves ? No-go zone ? Maybe he should be treated the same way that he treated the ELECTED PM while he was in opposition. Now, that was intense (and a fair bit smeary too you may remember).

photoshopped.
Are you going to the auction to warn people off buying because it's photoshopped?
where is it?
Photoshopped? I think not. They are all over the place.
I pass 2 every morning on my way to work (from Central station to Surry Hills along Foveaux Street). I also saw a huge one on a side street as I was driving along Moore Park Road. In Paddington I think although I was in the car so couldn't really stop to note where I was.
so it started with one graphic artist using his own $3000 to create one billboard and from what you're saying martini, in the space of just a few weeks lots more have sprung up- he must've been overwhelmed with donations and sponsors who wanted to see more of these signs going up

We didn’t just elect Prime Minister Tony Abbott to stop the boats and scrap the Carbon and Mining tax. One of our major gripes when Labor were in power was the money they were borrowing and giving away at an alarming rate while the whole time we were paying interest.
We know for certain that Labor are never going to be able to pay off any debt, that is not what Labor does, not now, not ever. If some ...sort of attempt is not made now Australia will never get out of debt and despite even Liberal voters wanting to bury their head in the sand over the debt, we still have “HUGE DEBT”.
We have to give the Prime Minister some credit, as well as the back bench crew who seem to be only worried about their own jobs, at least Tony Abbott is staying focused on the mess and debt that has to be paid back.

Seriously? The same old money managment myth over and over?
Abbott's focus is not debt that has to be paid back, it's about attacking Labor and anything remotely related to Labor, including the working population that enjoys the wages and conditions delivered by unions and business (that's the people) working together to reach outcomes which benefit most people.
The only credit abbott deserves and has earned is for the lowering the bar and bringing parliament into disarray.

We have had 18 months of Abbott's Govt.. Backflips, clangers, about-faces, broken promises, undisciplined thought bubbles - more than enough to show he doesn't deserve any credit.
The Treasurer has failed to introduce adequate measures in the 2014 Budget to reduce debt. Major proposals have been abandoned with no replacements. These proposals were duds, which is why they had no chance of being passed in the Senate.

The so called debt disaster has been done to death. World economists, Australian economists and even Joe Hockey in NZ delcared there was not a debt disaster. The battle cry of debt and deficit disaster was just something that the LNP cooked up to try and get votes, to try and scare the electorates and to score points. And it worked. Except it has now come back to bite them on the rear because confidence in the economy has dropped due to the talking down of the economy and now they are having to borrow much more to stay afloat. Australia's debt is still one of the lowest worldwide. Government debt is not like household debt, that needs to be understood.

The trouble with this Government is that they cannot seperate reality from the massive fear and scare campaign they mounted before the election. They are desperately believing the myths they created when just about every credible source say they are wrong.
