A reminder of the debt that Australia has, while Labor can bury their heads and deny it exists the fact remains we have a huge problem with debt and sooner than later the chips will fall, no business, no state and no country can keep operating in the red, eventually those we own the money to will own us. Who will own us?
The state of Qld has debt of $80 billion dollars, Labor are saying they don’t think it’s that bad, Bill Shorten on Australia’s debt, there is no debt crisis, there is a crisis and we are in this situation because of Labor, no one else and the bottom line is Labor can’t fix this problem, their speciality is creating debt not fixing debt.

Senator Ricky Muir remains open to deregulating university fees after call from Tony Abbott's office

The ABC has sought the thought process of Ricky Muir on deregulating university fees after a call from Prime Minister Tony Abbott’s office.

The sad part about this story is Ricky Muir is flat out stringing a sentence together and he’s making decisions on education.

Muir is still worried about the illegal boat people being held in detention in Darwin, another person who is happy to have illegal boat people walking around in our community, what a pity these elected officials don’t have the brains to listen to what the Australian public want.

The Victorian Motoring Enthusiasts Party senator last year helped vote down the Government's first attempt at changing the way universities are funded
.

Hate to burst your bubble but this.......

"It has been reported today that I remain open to deregulating universities. I want to make it clear that I remain open to listening to all proposals for reform which is why I will be attending a forum on higher education in rural and regional areas next week.

I remain deeply concerned about the impact deregulation will have on university fees. As I have previously stated, I will continue to consult with the Government, the university sector and student union groups on this critical issue."

Not sure that that what he says has been made clear. He is open to listening, not necessarily open to deregulation.

I expect he's also open to hearing about what's in it for him and his electorate if he supports the deregulation. Politics is a such cynical business.

Why hasn't he already thought about this proposal and developed a person political and philosophical point of view? Because he is an opportunist and doesn't have one?

There's precious few honest politicians (were there ever any?) and our current PM is a mendaciously good example to support my view.

Before the election that our clueless PM won. He said "sometimes I make **bleep** up on the fly." if ever there was a PM that shouldn't have been elected to power it is him.

The alternative would've been Mr Rudd, and that was out of the question. As is Mr Shorten.

This is the problem with the Australian electorate. Quite happy to accept a self confessed liar, travel rorter and deceitful dual citizen that is being protected by two governments by limiting freedom of information requests than a miss guided fool. Rudd was useless but none of the things Abbott is. The true measure of a society is the people it chooses to represent itself. I never have voted LNP but obviously most Australians love a lying crook

The media from all sides have the misguided idea that they are running Australia.

Fairfax are very keen to have Turnbull as a Prime Minister they see him as the saviour because he is very much a socialist and to the left with his way of thinking. This cannot happen.

The Get Up mob want the courts fixed so to what they see as wrong, we now have the communists wanting to interfere with our court system..

Everyone in the media seems to think they are in charge of Australia.

Rudd was arrogant and stubborn, and absolute nightmare to work with, but he is a highly inteligent person and a diplomat who knew how to conduct himself on international stage.

Michaelia Cash is still creepy, new hairstyle and all.   The way she speaks reminds me of a wind up doll that speaks faster or slower depending on how far extended the cord is.

Why do people think Turnbull is a socialist and to the left?

He is not in the slightest bit socialist and could not get further from the left if he tried.

He's a snake oil salesman who baffles with his BS to con people into thinking he's the good guy, who understands and is on their side.

Who are the communists wanting to interfere with our courts?

For three solid days Fairfax, the ABC, The Guardian and all major media have saturated us with Prince Phillip receiving a Knighthood.

Does everyone remember Gillard giving Tendulkar an order of Australia? She was wanting to break into India because it was booming at the time, not a peep because the media never ran with it.

Prince Charles was appointed a Knight of the Order of Australia in 1981. From memory was that ...Fraser.

Bob Hawke appointed Prince Philip a Companion of the Order of Australia (military division) during Australia's bicentenary in 1988.

Prince Phillip "was a sailor in the convoys that protected Australian troops being taken to the Middle East in the Second World War.

He was also in the Pacific Fleet and he was actually in Tokyo Bay at the time the Japanese surrendered.

Prince Philip founded the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme in 1956 which has helped tens of thousands of young Australians

It doesn’t matter if you like him or not, the award he received from TA is not costing us a cent.
