What are they?
Why do people want it?
Why do people need it?
How does it compare with what we have now?
How will it benefit us compared to what we have now?

Oile, If you are connected to the NBN I would be interested in the results you get from speednet.com to one of the servers in those countries
Why not go to one of the forums where lots of people are posting their NBN speedtest results?

what's the length of copper and the weight, how many strands?
You are the only person who claims that copper is the same as fibre. The only one.
Why? you know it is not true and you're just trying to confuse people who are seeking information about the NBN.

In fact all dressed up in something you can ill aford but are forced to get without having a choice
Find out the facts before sprouting your BS.

You mean the boast sites where they all try to outdo each other??
I prefer reality to myth

"err .. south korea, japan, denmark, sweden, nbn, fibre to the premises NZ USA France Spain"
Now take the trouble to find the cost per premise to deliver the OS FTTP
OK I live within about 100 metres of the exchange so am lucky - I have very fast
ADSL2 and no probs with connection, and fast downloads. So do I have to use the NBN when
it comes in? Or can I stay with my provider? How will this affect someone like me?
Sorry if this sounds dumb but I'm no techhead, even though people here have explained
it very clearly and thanks for that.
The very super NBN has ensured that it will not have any competition by arranging for the copper network to shut down, and HFC (cable). Luckily it did not get its way and have mobile phone broadband banned, and which will have an effect on its bottom line when (if) it ever publishes it.
Your perfectly good ADSL will cease and then you will eventually be offered the choice to be connected to the very super NBN that has no competition, by law, because it is so very super.

Really freaki?
I can back up what I claim, can you?
http://www.netindex.com/download/allcountries/
No, you just search out tidbits you can twist in your attempt to discredit the NBN network.
Don't you know countries are building new networks and improving their speeds all the time?
Did you protest when someone tried to connect electricity to your house? Did you swear you only needed a light? Are you still using a commodore 64?

No, I mean where people post their speed tests for comparison, trying different servers around the world at different times of the day.

You're getting just as loopy, John. Never ever did NBN Co try to have mobile broadband banned. Where do you get these ideas from?
