What are they?
Why do people want it?
Why do people need it?
How does it compare with what we have now?
How will it benefit us compared to what we have now?

It'd be good to see someone's results for comparison from wireless and ADSL as well....

So did I do good?
Does the mighty Viper rock?
Do I need to do something to make it better?
FREAKY - LOL - I meant Poddy knows my PC's specs
The NBN difference is the upload. Your plan is roughly equal to the lower end plans (with Telstra) on NBN for download but with 10x less upload capacity.
Telstra on NBN also offer 100 down 40 up plans and some of the RSPs offer 50/20 and 12/1. I think there might be a 50/50 plan available but not sure of the details.

can you argue about the spelling of metre/meterB-)

so is there something I should do to improve my upload speed? Is it something I did wrong?
and how do those speeds compare with the NBN?
i.e.
Viper on ADSL2 Freaky on NBN
Ping - 11 ms
Down load speed - 20.99 Mbps
Upload Speed - .84 Mbps
No it's the limitation of the old compared to NBN (or other FTTP estates) networks.
When NBN gets to you your RSP will let you know.

i'll grant you one thing poddy, no matter how many times proven wrong you still return for more.
thats masochism not tenacity. i suggest as someone did earlier you take the line you are spinning here to a tech forum. i suggest whirlpool, its not fair that the people there dont get to share this display of ignorance and upstream swimming. its astounding.

I'm not here using it much.

Ok - so you are way faster on uploads.... the report says 93% faster than the rest of Australia *looks impressed*
How does that compare with international speeds?
Glad it's not cos of my new PC though.

mine is on ADSL1
Also mine is only on the copper network ... the one that was flooded... the one that you say is old and degraded and can't work when it rains....
I am glad I didn't have the NBN when we flooded and tornados took out the power as I would not have been able to call my mum whose house was only just missed by the tornado.. or my work to tell them that I could not make it in... or my family to reassure them that we were all ok...
for five days I would have had no contact with the outside world unless I had a mobile... and even those cannot be charged very well when only using a car charger.
Doing a bit better today...
