Top 10 Benefits of the NBN

What are they?

Why do people want it?

Why do people need it?

How does it compare with what we have now?

How will it benefit us compared to what we have now?

Most people don't live within 100 metres of the exchange, that's the problem.

Did you see the graph that shows the drop in performance over distance?

Perhaps you should read all the article Freaki

But in case you had a mind block , here is the bit you missed or deliberately ignored.

Even if we were to stretch the distance to 20 kilometers, well beyond what's allowed for Category 5 copper, the difference in cable speeds still amounts to less than one microsecond.

All of this means that, from the perspective of overall network performance, the propagation delays of fiber and copper cable are effectively identical.

Just so that you can't miss it.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Why, I'll take the word of the hundreds of other people who know what they're talking about, writing about and working on along with my own personal experience and knowledge before I'll get bogged down in an argument with someone who clearly has a pathological hatred for the NBN waving some bizarre claim clipped out of somewhere.
