It depends CM on whether you send a lot of data, a reasonable/good ratio for download:upload is 10:1.\ and the proposed bread and butter NBN is 12/1.

Just checked my cable, and it is much better than I thought approximately 9/1. (down/up)

Which might explain why the NBN will be shutting down  the HFC networks serving 2,000,000.
