The story about the 15yo boy Jonah who disappeared into the rift and came back a grown man with terrible burns? Yes, I'd seen it previously but watched it again as it was a very sad and moving episode, particularly after Gwen went to all the trouble of finding Jonah for his mother, only to be told at the end that all she'd really done was take away the only thing the mother had left, which was hope.

You might be interested to learn that a new series is currently on the drawing boards, except this one will be made in the US and will include several rather steamy love scenes between Jack Harkness and his male partners.

I'll have to remember not to watch that then ..... their 'love scene' in the last episode made me quite ill. It was a good show  - a shame the writers found all that necessary.

I must agree with you and have wondered myself why such scenes were included as they add nothing of relevance to what was otherwise a well-written and rather poignant story. In fact, if anything they detract from it. I'm certainly no prude, nor am I the least bit bigoted, but I simply fail to see any value in including such scenes.

That so called love scene is very lame compared to what else has been aired on TV.

Would you be saying the same thing if the 'love scene' was with Eve and Jack?

Who is Eve? Unless you're referring to the actor Eve Myles whose character in Torchwood is Gwen. Sex scenes, whether between males, females, or one of each don't bother me in the least but I'm not sure they have a whole lot of relevance in what is essentially a science-fiction series.
