We went out for 30 mins and stupidly left dog inside. Came back and he has managed the following
A tennis ball in minute pieces all over OH study
Chomped his way through the head phone wires
Stripped the fabric off my make up case (a hanging offense)X-(
Chewed through the strap on a silk top
Very neatly chewed out the crotch of my new swimmers.:_|
He is completely manic today for some reason, don't know if it is because he has been in because of the heat.
OH has suggesting dropping him over the back fence of the RSPCA with a note.

My sympathies are with Hubby. I hate JRTs . Lived next door to one and its inconsiderate owners for round 15yrs till the thing finally died of old age. I wanted to move years before but OH wouldn't budge - close to his work. It would bark from the moment it got up in the morning til put to bed at night - locked inside their laundry. It would have a crack at killing our kids' cat if it came over in our yard which they used to let it do until we confronted them after bout the 3rd time. It used to kill anything it could find in it's yard. A real swine. Also as others have said very destructive and they don't really grow out of it. It would even turn round and bite the owners sometimes and they would overlook it. Unbelievable. It would have found itself in the pound the first week if it was mine. So all in all can't stand them.

Thanks Kopenhagen, that is good advice. We have started taking him to the local kennels for what they call "yappy time". All of the pooches spend an hour together supervised. My DIL said that it is like a play date. I did not want to show my age by asking what the heck that was.
