What next, Donna?
I would like to know the brand of the tuna that was used in the salad.
Last night, cooking dinner, I looked at some of the items I have used to see where they came from.
McCain premium Baby Peas and McCains Baby Carrots = Product of New Zealand.
Now, we all know that NZ imports fruit and vegetables from China. So how safe is McCains food?
Birds Eye Steam Fresh Fish = Made in the Republic of South Africa
What do we know about the South African Fish packing factory??? NOTHING!
Dinner tasted great, but now I am afraid to look at all the other packed and tinned food I have in my pantry and fridge.
Eventually we all will be to scared to eat anything we can buy in Supermarkets.

At least when I shoot, skin, gut and cut up and animal, I know where my food comes from
and it doesnt need no label on it to tell me !
And animals being animals, they always seem to feed on the best of the farmers crops,
from Kangaroos, to Pigs, to Deer, to Buffalo. And they all taste great.

Donna
Oh that is so true.
Why do you think they use numbers for ingredients. Because Oxymolybidenium doesn't look good
If people really knew what was in processed foods like Hot Dogs etc, Chicken Nuggets etc, they wouldn't eat them.

Ah, vicr, would you like to see just about every household armed with guns, going around shooting animals?
And what about all the fruit and vegetables our own growers produce? Why are they not in the Supermarkets and labled Product of Australia???
After the Berry alert, all of a sudden our local IGA has fresh blueberries, raspberries and strawberries for sale. All from growers in our neighborhood, labled with the name and address of the growers.
Do we have to boycot all those imported goods before our own producers will be recognised as having the cleanest and healthiest food for us?

Wouldn't worry me. We have plenty of animals here that can be safely eaten, starting with Kangaroos if only
the Gov't could get over the Tree huggers objections. Their are millions of them, far more than when white man came
and all superb meat, healthy and disease free. I love it.

Not enough pressure brought to bear on the Supermarkets, they go for cheap and profit. Like the wasted Oranges a few years back, it took a public outcry to get the Supermarkets to take them.

Yes, boycotts of supermarkets hit the $$$ so make them think. The problem is, their is always someone willing to buy what they put on the shelf, regardless of where it is from.
As I said before, I try to buy Aus Mangoes only.

Years ago I had a relative who was a scientist in the Health dept, and they tested everything.
He warned his wife not to buy tuna which was sourced off Queensland and canned here.

Donna, that Karen promotes Birdeye and Edgells through Simplot.
The frozen Birdseye vegies I bought were marked Product of New Zealand.
Nothing about Australian goods.
I have been saying for ages that all we eat and drink is poisoned now. Nothing natural anymore.
One does not find a misshapen carrot or parnip anymore, a cauliflower with some green grubs that have to be washed out or a grub in an apple.
Those were the days when people were eating real food. Today we eat plastic subsitudes.
No wonder more and more people need medical attention.
