Oh goodie, was hoping for a topic like this. I have been looking at maps, thinking about a move, of corse it could be this weather talking but I'm looking very closely at Bakersfield CA. Though it seems, taking in all the seasons, that here it's always too hot, to cold, too rainy, or too mucky with the snow, to do anything outside. But the weather is really only part of it, it's been suggested that I might fare better in a big city, kinda a hide in plain sight reasoning. More than that, if I move far enough away, and don't let anyone know where I am, Certain people might give up on me and let me live in peace. Only the people I'm talking about have certain resorces and might be able to track me down, inform their counterparts, and I be back where I started. So maybe it's a bad idea, but it is kinda fun to look at the maps and dream.
Other than that, I haven't traveled much. Florida when I was too young to remember, some camping, and more recently, 3 times in Philly. Once to look after a friend. Being close to family has it's upside, but with me, also it's downside. Always said that if I won the lottery or came into unlimited funds, That I would get a motorhome and go see most every state, from one end to the other stopping along the way often to (corny expression alert) smell the roses.
I am such a home body that I don't enjoy going away.
I can see the appeal in that under ideal condisions, If things are going well, why travel?, when you can look it up on the internet and bring the places to you.
