what a waste! An intelligent man and one of the current WA Government's ablest politicians - but a loose cannon and constant liability in his personal behaviour.

Re: Troy Buswell Resigns

There is no proof he was drunk, depression and mental health issues and fatigue can cause people to act and drive erratically, doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum he is from neither side is immune to mental break down ,just ask mark Latham , even a western Australian premier resigned due to a mental break down . As to him not being tested on the night the police cannot legally test someone once they are on there own property regardless who they are, they have to charge them under a different offence and must be able to prove that they were indeed drunk whilst in control of the vehicle and had not consumed alcohol after they got home , if they could not gain access none of that is possible.

If they can link him to the cars that are damaged he will be charged with several offences, he has done the right thing and resigned as treasurer , if you want to ask a question it should be if he will resign from parliament all together

Driving home from a wedding at 1am approx??? there is a great possiblity that he was drink driving. People at the wedding would have noticed whether he had been drinking alcohol or not. If he was, he can't claim he wasn't as there would be witnesses that say otherwise.

hitting parked cars and a telegraph pole en route is a fairly good indicator of drink driving. if the damage matches will they continue to  cover it up or come clean i wonder.
