"Shorten was the winner this morning" lol thanks for posting that we all needed a good laugh.
Mentioning Shorten and winner in the same sentence? priceless
Thanks, I thought so too.

from Debra's link
Deputy Liberal leader Julie Bishop was the only other MP to address the room after the ballot. Ms Bishop stressed her job was to support the leader and offered to be a conduit for MPs to the prime minister and his office.
I think that's interesting. To me it suggests she thinks his promise to communicate more may not be fulfilled.

If Abbott is still PM at the next election, you will need a few laughs.

That's the best news for Labor. With Turnbull at the helm the LNP would've had a chance at the next election. You forgot to factor in the voting public don't want Abbott.Look at the polls.
Yes, it was win/win either way for most people/voters

It looks like Tony Abbott wrote the script for his demise.

He said he's changed, that things will be different then walked out on the press mid question. Big change right there.

Love her answer!
Mr ABBOTT (WarringahโLeader of the Opposition) (14:00๐ My question is to the Prime Minister. Given that one-third of her parliamentary colleagues and a quarter of her cabinet colleagues have today expressed their lack of confidence in her, how can she claim to have a mandate to continue as Prime Minister?
Ms GILLARD (LalorโPrime Minister) (14:01๐ I say to the Leader of the Opposition that I always give him full marks for audacity, if not consistency. He comes into this parliament having survived his leadership issues by one vote. It is no wonder the Leader of the Opposition got some new suits after he became Leader of the Opposition. The rest of them were covered with blood!
