I simply love technical kitchen talk.

They shouldn't need cleaning unless some dufus uses the wrong cheese and it sticks all over it. They should only need wiping over with a paper towel.

Why? Because we now know that the human digestive system is designed to take all food, in liquid form.:)
Oh, OK
I have the nutri bullet but I think its basically the same thing
Well, I knoww some people have to have things like smoothies etc for health reasons
for me, I follow a lifestyle plan klnown as Metabolic Precision. In short, you eat 5 to 6 small meals a day at specific intervals depending on your activity levels, but in general every 3 hours.
so you have minimum 3 solid meals, but then for snacks you can have stuff like smoothies - mixes up just having protein powder iykwim. I add all sorts of stuff like yoghurt, berries, flaxseed oil etc -
sometimes it isn't always practical to get a meal in when you're supposed to, but you can generally have a drink
*shrugs*
just good for meals on the go, or if you want something fast without farting around too much.

What are and why do you need capsules? Do they self seal in the magic bullet? How is it different from a regular blender?
The capsules are like the little individual mixing bowl things where you blitz the food.
so you blitz and carry and eat all in the one container - don't have to find something else iykwim
a regular blender is very hard to carry in my gym bag or my uni satchel. but apart from that basically the same, I spose? Dunno, never owned a blender like what I think you are talking about

Some people don't even do that. But a wipe over won't clean the
butter off it. And for cheese toasties, you need butter on the outside.
And then the butter goes rancid. erk

I never even got that far.
If I want to make toasted sandwiches I put them in the grill. which I never make toasted sandwiches anyway. If the ask me at Subway if I want it toasted, I say no.
I hate hot avocado or lettuce.
Or cottage cheese.

My sandwich maker doesn't smell/taste like rancid butter! I don't even use butter (rice bran oil spread).
.
Tip for sandwich maker likers: put the sandwich to be toasted in a piece of baking paper first... no mess left in the machine.
Even lazy teenagers can manage to do that.

Wouldn't a smoothie need to be kept chilled if you cart it around with you? If taking one to work could put it in the fridge when you get there.
on โ28-06-2014 09:29 PM
Maybe?
I spose it matters what's in it and how long you keep it out of the fridge for
another time the bullet is great is when time is short
or you are going somewhere else right after gym.
ie - I have to eat a meal within 45 minutes of finishing exercise/activity - if I'm on the fly, I can make a smoothy before I leave gym and drink it in the car, or by the time you get home, sometimes not much time, so it's quick and easy - 2 minutes and its done.
same for in the mornings, I have to have a protein shake within the 45 minute before gym (or leaving for it if I am running there - at 4am every extra minute in bed counts so it's quick and easy with the bullet, but you still get all the nutrients you need and they're in a form ready to use by the body when it needs it, not still stuck in your digestive track.
Then your next meal is a solid one, usually a vege omelette, or maybe oats
