Not harsh at all Erica. I was just suggesting that if we really are in mortal danger of being overun by Muslims, maybe the government should be encouraging us to 'outbreed' them.

Victims want their abuser charged
What exactly would the charge be?, exercising free speech?

Australia doesn't have freedom of speech rights.....................
I imagine the charges could be harrassment or offensive language for starters. The one last year got herself a 12 month good behaviour bond for her train tirade.

Here you go Joanie, all the right information about it here. We do have freedom of speech here by any other name, but there are supposed/implied/enforced protections also, as you have in your country ...
This comes from an Australian Government website >>>

Australia does not have explicit freedom of speech in any constitutional or statutory declaration of rights, with the exception of political speech which is protected from criminal prosecution at common law per Australian Capital Television Pty Ltd v Commonwealth. There is however an implied freedom of speech that was recognised in Lange v Australian Broadcasting Corporation[53]
I don't think that woman will be able to use that implied freedom of speech to save herself.

Wilk, it could also be argued that there is legislation protecting the rights of the citizens of Australia, even when they have been charged with shocking crimes.
To describe this country as an "open air prison" means you must think of Australia as being like mind numbing and undemocratically cruel places that in reality, you personally would never dare even visit.
I was not born here, but I come from a country just like here in terms of freedom and democracy, and I so appreciate it as I have worked and lived in countries that would curl your hair for it's cultural and genuine lack of freedom and cruelty.

Australia does indeed have right of speech, opinion, read the Government website and it becomes clearly implied.
What the law also has, is protection against harrassment speech, fear mongering speech, persecution of religions speech and on and on it goes, which is great and acts like a democracy should.
It is not perfect, but then what is?
Anyone can argue for or against, but the fact and truth is, if you live in this country you enjoy protections and freedoms (including speech), like in some countries, are the envy of the planet, so far!

The right to free speech is not the right to get in the face of and spit abuse at another person.
