Victorians have been urged to watch out for puppy scammers duping people into paying for pets they never see.
Police say victims in Victoria and across Australia have been asked to make cash deposits into a bank account for a puppy, purportedly to be transferred from interstate.
But victims never see the dog or get their money back, and detectives have released images of pups falsely advertised in scam dating back to early 2017

Why do people do this.
You would never know what you'd get - to say nothing of actually getting it.
A pet is part of your life for the time either you or he/she lasts.
It was not a hard task to drive from almost Sydney to Ballarat to choose & collect she who has become part of the family.
Sad stuff.
