Thanks kopes I will do a bit of research..
I lived in Auckland for 4 years, but that seems a long time ago..I would definitely recommend NZ for a holiday- the landscape is simply breathtakingly beautiful..
Hope you are well?

Oooo I hope it's ok (your dinner - not the art [just pass me that shovel will you, I'll keep on digging
])
I understand some people are still having problems after the earthquake. I was speaking about it with my family and they said there are still people who haven't had their claims resolved and other issues. .

I have just read about the installation you are "involved" with. Very interesting in that environment.

Beautiful spot.
It's about a 4.5 hour drive from C'church to Dunedin kopes, but you're right, Dunedin is a lovely little city. That is the area my grandparents (and further back) come from.
There are so many beautiful places to visit in the S.I. that if youcan tried to do them all as side trips she'd never see anything in Christchurch

lurker, thats terrible- isnt it?
Such devastation, it affects everyone involved..my OH was living in Newcastle duing the earthquake..when he visited Christchurch last year, it really brought it all back..he took a lot of photos, and walked the city daily to try and work out how he felt, and what he could relate his work to..the work is only now being installed, so although hes made maquettes, he hasnt seen the real artwork yet.
I think it will be v exciting and pretty overwhelming for him..
PS what you talkin' bout re your butter chicken??
Its brilliant- Ive cooked it a number of times- was told to 'put it in the book' by master 19 lol high praise indeed!
