When I was a teenager I built a racing VW beetle with a Fiat 1500 twin cam motor in the back and a radiator in the rear window cavity. Went like the clappers and could easily handle 6000 RPM. Close ratio 3rd & 4th gears and a beefed up diff, it was a lot of fun. ( until it inevitably broke down and cost a fortune to fix .......Man Sad     )
