Voters Fall In Behind Abbott, Coalition

Voter support for Tony Abbott and the coalition is on the rise in NSW, South Australia and Western Australia, according to the latest Newspoll.

However, Bill Shorten and Labor are making strong gains in Queensland and dominate in Victoria.

The September quarter demographic analysis published in The Australian on Tuesday shows men and voters aged over 50 have become the prime minister's main supporters, while the opposition leader's strongest backers are women and under 35s.

Mr Abbott is preferred prime minister by 38 per cent of voters, up one point, while Mr Shorten is preferred by 39 per cent, down two points.

The government is doing what it always has to do and that is to pay down Labor's debt. $ billions of dollars and One Billion dollars a month interest bill we all are paying.

Nobody on here is addressing that, all I can see is the "what's in it for me" cheer squad, the nose in the trough and the mindless whingeing we are served up every day.

Hello...you are not going to get the thousands of dollars hand outs, the cheques in the mail money, set top boxes, cash for clunkers,  the obsecene waste we were served up by Labor every day.

Shorten has no answer and he will never be PM of this country and you can take that to the bank because that's all you'll ever get from  Shorten.

My point was about whats happened with two local issues that have been ongoing and largely ignored by both parties until an election is on the horizon.

Mental help?  But that is a mere guess:)

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
