My take on this is that the WA people back their Premier for his tough and dogged approach in managing Covid, despite minimal support from the Federal Government. Clearly Mark McGowan and Daniel Andrews are leading the way, and the majority of people in their States are grateful for their leadership and governance.

There has always been frictiion between the east and west and he has used it to his advantage. End of the day wrong or right its what politicians do use whatever it takes get ahead of the opposition. Hopefully with this out of the way things can get back to normal for those who cross borders regularly.

To be honest, there was almost nothing Mark McGowan needed to do anyway. The Libs did it all for him. The WA Liberal Party has been a basket case for some time now, dominated by a handful of hardcore Evangelicals.

I wouldn't give you 5c cents for Andrews and his corrupt government ........... Neither ( I suspect ) would the families of the 800 people who died as a result of his inability to handle hotel quarantine

Well that's your opinion, and it's an interesting one. But I suspect the vast minority of Victorians would agree with you. I guess we'll see next year when I expect Andrews will retain government in a landslide, just like McGowan did.

I wonder how NSW would go as they had a different stance to other states.
