WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I could see half way through that #6 (3rd right) could be one of two words so I left it in the hope other words might narrow things down. They didn't and so I had to make a choice. Jumped the wrong way again.

At least it is something new I suppose. We're always complaining about repeats but I don't recall seeing this one before.

With this, it was obvious that the word on the left had to have a particular letter in first place, and that meant another letter must make a second appearance. With the word on the right, after the opening word there were only two real possibilities for it.

Yes, I knew the word, although I don’t read them myself.

I knew where the G went, and I knew there were no other vowels… I could see that there weren’t many possibilities for that word. The most obvious word it could be (and which had a more mainstream use in the West) was the word I decided to try, and that’s what it was.

Yes, I see what you mean with that 3rd block right word. I’d used most of the possible letters for its 4th letter already, so there was 1 of 2 possibles remaining. I could do easily have gone for the wrong word…

I found myself needing that row 4 eliminator to continue. In retrospect, I could have solved block 3 left without it; but I was hoping for more information there.

No… looking over this, I did need the eliminator.
