WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I had 4 letters for the top right after the second turn but I still could not figure it out so I left it and used another eliminator and after that, things started to come together.

With the bottom left, I found I had tried the starting letter in every empty spot except first spot & once I realised it therefore had to go there, the word jumped out at me.

Although it may not look it, this was easy enough and flowed reasonably well for me today.

I think the score scoots up if you start in with correct responses from turn 3, which didn't happen for me today.

For the 4th word (second right), I thought I might achieve it with tribe but nope, & as there were a couple of other things it could be, I left it after that to see if other words might reveal the way. They did.

That bottom right word has been out a few times in games, so much so that as soon as I saw the word started with a and had an o in it as well, my mind flew to the word.

You'll notice I went down to the wire yet the score is not too deadly. That's because I started solving from turn 3 onwards.

I will have to learn to slow down and stop jumping in impetuously though. On word 4, I had the first 2 letters in place and could see I also had an i so I popped in the word 'maxim'. Wrong. Then I had another look and noticed that way up the top in line 2, I had exposed 'f' and 'i'.  So I should have solved it one turn earlier if I had been paying proper attention. This doesn't happen if I do the hangman paper version as I have all the exposed letters underneath.

There wasn't much to choose from given the letters I had.

I am really miffed. I had to restart my computer the other day and it reset my "streak". It's saying I've only played 4 games, my current streak is 1, maximum streak is 3, and win is 100%. I mostly play at the same time of day (depending on my shifts, it could be an hour or 2 difference). I guess it doesn't really matter, I know that there's only been one time I didn't get it in 6 goes.
