I recently stumbled across WORDLE online. For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.
https://www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/
This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:
Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though). Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words. I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts. Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Word on the left is especially obvious and has appeared too often.

TRACE was my starter. I followed that SLINK, and by then I had a strong suspicion about the word at top left.
In turn, top left solution gave me top right.
Bottom left… I had only one letter (yellow). I looked at the unplayed letters and a possible word presented itself. I played it; it was correct.
It gave me enough to have a good idea of what bottom right must be.

My starter was CATER, and my first eliminator was DOUGH. That was enough to give me top right, and I could work out top left (only one letter to guess, really).
Block 2R was obvious at that point, and blocks 3R and 3L followed as it was clear which two letters must start 3R and which letter must be added to 3L.
Then scrolling down to 4L (bottom left), it was obvious; the additional letter also ruled in or out which letter must start 4R (bottom right). (It’s always a pleasing play when I can rule out a letter of one word by solving another.)
I now had only 2L to solve - and by this time it was obvious that one of the letters must be doing double duty.
Solved.

My starter gave me the three final letters, but that left me with at least six words that would fit. My eliminator word narrowed it down to one.

It was good to get that first letter in my starter word. It took me a bit to come up with any ideas with that other random vowel. Then I wondered if there could be a double letter, because nothing else seemed to fit. My second go most definitely helped.

Scooted through this at warp speed but not always with stunning accuracy.😁
Mind you, my duds were logical enough and possible.
Two near misses were flame & bight.

I just couldn't think of anything straight off after my second turn, so the third was the first word that came into my mind with the revealed letters plus new ones. I could tell it wasn't right, but it helped with placement.

Got more time today so might do the others.
This one was not too bad (compared to my usual results)
