WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Got there. Disgraced myself on #3 as I thought the green at the end was in 4th spot and made a guess based on all the letters but without checking higher, where I would have noticed one in the wrong spot.

This is a word where I wished I had S&D's list of previous answers.

My 3rd word was one I have definitely seen come up in previous word games and I have a vague suspicion it may have been the actual answer in Wordle once in the past, but I am unsure. If it had been out before, then it wouldn't be the answer again was my thinking.

Dosn't matter, as it at least put me on a narrow track. Victory at 4.

The LH word could only have been the one that starts with B or the one that starts with M. My 4th row guess was the wrong one. Grrrrrr.

Springyzone, I feel rather lacking in energy. Joints still annoying me (presumably some sort of virus or after effects because I have been tested for the most obvious miscreants and it’s not flu, it’s not COVID, it’s not RSV). Probably aggravated by hayfever. Lower back ache is not something with which I deal well… and I really really do hate hayfever in winter when quite a lot of people say “But the pollen count is low and it can’t be hayfever.” Oh well… I’ll get my oomph back at some point!

I just put out the bins and it was surprising how exhausting walking back up the (admittedly rather steepish) driveway was…
