WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I was lucky to have a correct guess with this. I had 2 letters but the other spots meant the answer could have been at least a couple of things.

After a slow start, I was trotting along okay but had the wrong arrangement of the right letters in #5.

I actually completed all of these Wordle-type games around 2 am, but decided to hold back on posting them.

I am quite a bit better but ricked both knees last night just by getting out of the car in a hurry. (Friend treated me to a Bellini recital and finding parking had taken longer than hoped so I had to be swift.)

This is a weird result because I am SURE I dordled at 2AM-ish, but when I went to look, there weren’t any results and to all appearances I had t played today’s Dordle. So I tried again. 

The results look familiar… It’s possible that the game reset on my phone, and if so, this result may have been subconsciously influenced by night memories. I used a starter that I’ve used several times before and my second row indicator was also one I’ve used before.

My starter TRACE didn’t do much, but my second DOILY was much better. I made a one-letter mistake at row 6, for the word top left; but after eliminating the wrong (far more likely) word, I was left with only one possibility…

Row 3R tried to be tricky but it wasn’t. With two positions yellow for the Y, it was obvious what the word must be.

I had to laugh when I saw the answer though as my try at #4 was a different word but almost the same meaning.
