WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Even right at the end, I wasn't sure which letter to use at the start of #6, B or F. Luckily, this time I chose the right one because I had already picked a wrong middle letter in #3 a bit earlier.

Bot was surprisingly enthusiastic today. He was quite keen on my second guess, it would have been one of his top picks. Not  quite as good as what he would have chosen, of course, but he was happy as it left only a couple of possibilities. 

Naturally, I tried them in the wrong order.😂 It's a gift I have!

Early on, I had #2 tagged for 2 possibilities, different 4th letter.

Later on I eliminated one possibility but noticed there was a 3rd, completely different 1st/4th letter combo I could make and went with that. Should have stuck with the original thought!

PS Quite a bit of, hmm, let's just call it letter recycling, going on in this particular game!

I was happy enough with this. The reason for the score being on the poor side is because I used 3 eliminators to start off with before trying to solve but from move 4 onwards, I did not make a mistake.

I think that in order to score in the 50s, the system will allow 2 opening moves and one mistake along the way further down but you have to start solving from turn 3.

As you can see, I was onto the shape of the word by turn 3 but I worked my way through every variant before I got it right.😁

Bot wasn't impressed, he felt that 'based on what he knew of wordle' I should have chosen the wrong answer I put at #4 for #3. I don't see that I would have been much better off, just moving chairs on the Titanic.

After turn 2, I could think of a couple of possibilities and went with one and got lucky.

The Bot has told me though that actually there were 6 possibilities. OMG sometimes ignorance is bliss, I would have felt I had to try a 3rd eliminator if I had realised there were that many!
