WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I didn't find this hard as such-I think every single answer has been out before at some stage.

What I did find early on was the usual, is it threw or three, is it throw or throb, is it grail, frail or rival etc.

So on turn 5 I used an eliminator, cyber, which helped.

But at the end I still had F &G in the game so had to take a guess between grail & frail.

I went a bit rogue today after turn 1, because of the green L and the yellow N and the fact I had no vowels exposed.
I thought the most likely vowel to come after L was probably going to be U, and the N would be on 4th spot.
So that left slung/slunk, clung/clunk, flunk/flung as far as I could make out.

I am always mightily attracted to the ones ending in K but usually,in ocordle anyway, they end up finishing with G.

So second word was scurf. I was going to use scarf but tried U in the middle just in case and it worked.

So i went with the G ending and got lucky.

I was going okay, I did use another eliminator at turn 8 (magic) and it worked well for me.

I held off solving #3 till the end because I had it down as grade/crave/brave/brace or grace, most likely. After magic exposed that there was a C in that word, that cut out some of those word choices but after I solved #8 (abuse), I suddenly had B exposed as well and straight away I knew it was brace. I was very pleased.. and then promptly typed in brave instead of brace by accident and it was flying off before I could change it.
