WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Don't you just hate it when no consonants turn up?
After my firsts 2 turns (the usual), I was left thinking... puree, rupee, buyer, queer, purer? There were probably other possibilities. Well, we know there were, as none of them ended up being the answer.😂
I think rupee may have been out a couple of years back, so maybe that was unlikely to be used again, but still!
So for third turn, I tried price. I often used pricy but today I wanted to see if there could be a double e ending.

I forced myself to go slow with this. My first word had abysmal results really. The second helped but I couldn't see my way clear to definitely solve anything. I was very tempted to try a third word as eliminator and then my eyes alighted on #8 and I thought, I can do this, I am pretty sure of what this must be.

After that, I took it slowly and checked each one and it really was a case of one word helping the next and so on.

I did nearly fall into one of my common traps. I was looking at #3/2L and I had l/e/u exposed in yellow with a green G in the middle. Oh bulge, I thought, and typed it in. Luckily this time I did double check instead of hitting enter immediately and noticed I had L in the middle.

I scored 56 for extreme, which pleased me.

I did make a mistake on turn 7, by trying money for #3.

I was a little bit reckless with that first guess; there several possibilities for that word… but I rushed in where angels fear to tread. Fortune favoured me, and I could actually go on to solve another 4 words before I needed an eliminator.
