WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This one slowed me down in my tracks in a couple of spots. I used a heap of eliminators (or it felt like that), only solved it on the very last turn and was shocked the score came out at 55.

I was expecting about a 60 at least.

Just looking at it now, I was lucky with #8 as early on, I was thinking crank/prank/grand etc but it could have been frank.
I was a bit surprised not to uncover P for #5 as I had that tagged as likely to be party, for sure.
#4 took me a while to solve, I was trying the e in 2/4 spots for a while.
Then bumfs as eliminator then wagon as eliminator as #3 was still a mystery to me. So 4 eliminators.

The result of my opener had me thinking about the likelihood of either i or u rather than o being used, or with no second vowel at all. That led me to focus more on the consonant situation…

OMG this was painful for me.

And so disappointing. I started off gleefully enough, solving on turns 2 and 3, but then ran into some potholes.

#7 threw me right off, I had no idea, except I suspected the order of the final 3 letters so i just had to make it up with the other 2 into what I thought was the most likely combo.

You'll see I cunningly changed my eliminator at turn 4 to short instead of shout. I was so pleased with that move but pride comes before a fall! 😂
Made a mistake for #1, which was probably silly of me as #4 was a sure thing and staring at me in the face if I had thought to look along further.
I used fumed as eliminator as I think I wanted to test F/M/D, felt totally at a loss with #7 but then again, we ask for something new so I should be happy I learnt a new word meaning today.
