WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I'm okay with this, at least no stupid mistakes. Or not over the top stupid in any case.
The score blew out because I used pricy as eliminator on turn 4. In hindsight, I probably should have worked on #6 a bit longer as I suspected it had a Y but didn't fancy sonny and liked songs even less.
But I really wanted to solve #3 pleat/bleat & #5 chomp/chock. Naturally, today was not the day I used fudgy or fudge as eliminator either.😂

I know, I know, another eliminator on the 3rd turn is absolutely fatal. The thing with the extreme though is I am (usually) a cautious person, not keen on risks. In the chill version, no worries, as there are turns to spare. But in extreme, you only get one more chance after your first 2 turns in which to use an eliminator or make a wrong guess. I felt I couldn't be sure of any of them, hence the eliminator. Probably just as well, as I rather fancied uncle for #1 and savor for #3.

This was one of those games for me where solving one word helped to solve the next. Except for the very end, where I was left with embed/ember.

Ah yes,needed another eliminator at turn 5. I felt it woould help solve #3, #4 and test the Y, almost always useful. As it was, it helped in a few other spots too, so I was lucky. Score was punished of course for using another eliminator so early on, but it gave me great peace of mind, anyway.😂

The number of possibilities after my starter were - so far as I could see - under 30. Not bad at all - but still too many for a guess. I knew which letters would be best to strike, and it worked out perfectly.
