WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I remember now. By turn 4, I could think of a couple of possibilities for some and on others, I didn't have a clue, so i used fudgy as another eliminator and immediately felt enlightenment on a number of fronts.
I had been thinking fever or fewer for #6 though till I got vigor and realised I had exposed W much earlier as well.
So no big mistakes but of course paid for the early extra eliminator. It was so worth it though!😁

About half way through, I felt I needed another eliminator (I used fudgy).

At the time, I thought #4 might be foggy, doggy, mommy or something like that.

I had #5 pegged as crown/frown/drown/grown etc and I thought #7 might be trick.

#2 I had no strong thoughts about-maybe baggy or kayak

But I didn't feel like taking any wild guesses on any of them, hence the extra eliminator. I was glad it wasn't too early on in the game as at least the score is still under 60.

Things were going okay till about half way through, when I thought #7 must be icing. I never even thought of vying. At least after I used icing, I had the answer to #8 (could have been blitz up till then) and #5 (it eliminated clown and I had already eliminated blown)

I jumped in with a guess with this. In hindsight, it wasn't a sensible move at all as there were several other possibilities but this word called to me.

This classic version worked like some sort of dream, in that each answer led to the next and I wasn't debating several possibilities, so the whole thing was finished super quickly. Not often I have a good run like this.

My run of luck was starting to return to normal.

I took a risk on turn 5 with stomp (could have been stock).
Hated spelling of #4 but couldn't be anything else that I could think of.
Then I got too cocky and went for #2 when I should have used eliminator as I could think of 3 words (may have been more, I don't know) I did worry with #7 too-burnt or brunt.
Hate #5 word.

Forgot to say-what I liked about the classic was as I went along, it was using all the letters I would normally have in my extra eliminators. I was rapt.
