WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I wasn't impressed with today's answer. American spelling alert. It is probably one of the last I would have considered had I not been forced to it.

I had L and O and concluded O was probably in second place.
So maybe jolly, dolly, golly, folly, oddly, godly-along those lines.
Tried fudgy next, got the D plus the expected Y.
4th word was dolly. I thought it an odd choice for wordle & hoped it wasn't something like dolby.

Yes… Had my eliminator not given me that yellow letter in 4th place, I wouldn’t have gone for that particular word. I played it grimly, clenching my teeth at the spelling.

I started off okay but towards the end, I felt I needed another eliminator. I was stuck on #4, that old dilemma fully, dully, gully etc
#1 tricked me, I really thought I had it with prior.
#6 I had to work on but luckily not that many letters were left and I had a feeling K would be the most likely in the middle.

Both of those dilemmas were ruled out by my eliminator… It’s amazing how many times that particular eliminator proves useful!

I was almost going to play an extra eliminator (pricy), but having the green in place helped, although I did waste a bit of time trying the other vowel in 2nd palce, till I figured I wasn't getting anywhere fast.

I had a bit of a devil may care attitude tonight, felt I needed to power through it, so probably took some risks I shouldn't have.

I was hoping #5 wasn't whose & got lucky there.
Baron wasn't quite as inspired. My first thoughts had been gamon, radon then bacon. I don't know why my brains seeks out the most unlikely. Luckily I had a last minute brain wave.
Wasn't as lucky with #6 filly either. Another dud.
Altogether, quite lucky to have scored 56, I feel.

On turn 3 I thought-surely not stunk, so i took a risk that paid off.
But soon after that, I had a list as long as your arm for #2 (none of them were deity), didn't know if it would be slurp or slump for #6 (fancied slump) and so on.
So BUMPY came into play.
I was annoyed with #7 as I knew it was between abode/adobe but just had to go for it and got it wrong.

I really wasn't sure what eliminator to go with after this, pricy or fudgy or something else.
