WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

There wasn't anything after turn 2 that I felt was a sure thing, so with reluctance I went with another eliminator.
Then right at the end I still felt beaten by #7 (greed/freed) and #2 (stall/stalk) so eliminator gawky.

The possible answers after my starter included letters W, D, B, K, F, K, M. I focused on the letters that would exclude possible words, and DUMKY seemed an ideal word to narrow it down.

One piece of luck in guessing a word on the 2nd row was followed by an eliminator and then by a relatively easy set of 5 correct words. After that, I needed to guess; one was correct, the other was not.

Today was a very mixed bag.

First up, wordle, where I  went rogue.

Then I thought, I might try ready.
I don't even know what prompted that feeling, as it could easily have been tease or stare or spate or heady.. the list goes on. Shout would have been a more sensible move.
But I liked ready as it covered R/D/Y and for some reason, I had a feeling Y might be on the end.

As you can see, it went about as well as my feeling usually go. No Y.
I suppose the answer could have been drear or dream, except I didn't think of them in time.

How I got through this with 53, I don't know. I was very lucky.

Even after my first 2 turns, I wasn't sure of anything.
I spent a bit of time, mind you, after turn 1, working on #5 and was so annoyed that despite having 4 letters, there were several possibilities. I hate it when that happens.😟

I was very tempted to use another eliminator on turn 3 but took a risk with #8 moist.
#4 was luck as I couldn't see what else it could be till after I had done it and had a brain wave-could have been smock.
#2 annoyed me too.

After turn 3, there was nothing where I felt fairly sure of the answer. I had quite a list of possibilities for some of them. I was thinking bingo, dingo, jingo yonic etc for #5. I used pricy on turn 4 as eliminator (#4, piper, rider etc)
I thought #3 was likely to be charm or champ till then.

I don't think there is anything that turned out as I expected.
#1 I was convinced had to be redid/refix/remix or something like that. Imagine my surprise to get an X in #5 instead.

And as for #6, I have never heard of that word. I was completely at a standstill on that one. Obviously the N had to go in 4th place, but that totally defeated me till the end when I had all the letters.
