WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Not the most satisfying wordle I have done, that is for sure!

But I assumed the O was probably in number 2 spot.
Turn 3-podgy. This was better
Turn 4-dowry. Iwas tempted by wordy but I have a dim recollection that it may have been used recently.
Turn 5-No cunning needed.

I didn't get around to octordle yesterday but I did wordle on my phone. I think it took 4 moves though.

But then I thought it might be a 2/4 vowel pattern  e/o.
But I couldn't think of what the word could be. I was working on the assumption the T and L were in spots 3 & 5. Then I thought, maybe not.
So that is why I used hotel as turn 3, even though I could see it had the E in an impossible position. After that, it was easier to work through it logically.

This was going quite well till about half way through, I came to a full stop and felt I needed another eliminator.

I used BUMPY, I did think #7 might be braid and I really thought Y was likely on #8 for jolly or something like that. At the very end, I worried that #2 might be quaff, but then I thought, this is the classic & quack is more likely.

This one was slightly easier.

I was able to start solving from turn 2. Bonus!!
But then I had a decision making crisis. Shout or pricy? As you know, I like to get my vowels out of the ay early, but I went for pricy as I wanted R exposed as I suspected it might be in a couple of words.
That left me though with S & T uncovered too which I was not happy about.

I was getting along okay though till the end, when I looked at #1 and assumed A was the only vowel. 
This is the trouble with being in a habit in that I tend to assume some letters have automatically been covered and I could have seen it was wrong anyway. But it was all I could think of.

Knowing that one particular letter could not be in the 2nd position and that another letter couldn’t be in the last position ruled out all but four possible answers - and two of them were, I think, too esoteric for Wordle.
