WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

I woke up with coughing and irritated throat — not COVID, but it’s that wretched plane tree pollen. That drives me to Wordle.

I made a bit of a leap for (left) word on row 4. It was of several possibilities, but knowing the Wordle-type preference for certain formations, my gut said “Go for it”.

I found this quite tricky. All of the guesses except for the first were made with some degree of trepidation, especially the last.

In contrast, the Octordle was a logical and well-stepped puzzle. I could go from one word to the next.

The final word (3rd block, right) was the hardest for me to guess. However, knowing that a vowel couldn’t be in a particular position, that a consonant couldn’t be in two positions and was unlikely to be in the final position, that another consonant was not last and due to other letters NOT being present, it was unlikely or impossible to be the penultimate letter, steered me towards the answer. I was right.

I had a good start to wordle today.

Began with cloud, because that's the first word that hit me this morning when I looked out the window. Such a contrast to yesterday.

I did do yesterday's but was on the phone so not sure how to paste on here as I nver remember how to log into ebay (it is automatic on my computer).

Yesterday's Wordle took 4, I recall that. There was one word on either dordle or quordle that I missed out on and like sons & daughters. I noticed a repeat word, another of our deja vu moments.
