WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

Straight after my first turn, I looked at #3 and thought, hmm, it could be stain, it could be chain. But i fancied stain.
After my second turn, I saw I had the S &T and I felt like a clairvoyant. That should have been warning enough because we both know that when it comes to octordle, I am anything but!
I rushed in, of course, and it turned out to be satin. It always is, I've seen that same word trap happen before I think.
Then I really thought I was onto something with #6. Aha, has to be civic I thought. Vivid didn't occur to me till after the deed.😲
PS You'll notice that sometimes when a word does me wrong, I punish it by leaving it till last.

I suspected TORSO, THORN, THIRD, TURBO, THROW… It was tempting to use LOUIS as the eliminator but it wouldn’t have helped with most of the possible consonants. “B” would have been good to eliminate… but gut feeling drove me to use “shorn”.

I could only think of loony or knoll for #5 & I know they quite like knoll so i went for it.
And after my first word, I took one glance at #8 and thought... this better not be satin.😂
I needed some clarity half way through so used bride (#8 brain/grain, #3 steep/steer, #4 batch, catch etc, #6 tooth/troth
But at the end I was still stuck with multiple choices for #4 (why couldn't it have been batch? Even at the end, I was worried it might be hatch.

I wasted a bit of time trying to place a C or W in #6 but in the end, decided it had to start with H and from there, I could work it out.
#2 gave me pause too. Theft seemed the obvious but I typed in wheft, which did not turn red, so i knew that was a possible. More remote, but possible, so i held off.
Everything was ticking along quite nicely. Not world conqueror level but I was hoping for maybe a 52. Man plans, God laughs, as they say.
Saggy/savvy/sassy. I didn't have 3 turns left so i used an eliminator (gives).
