WORDLE - anyone else trying the daily online word game?

I recently stumbled across WORDLE online.  For the uninitiated, it is a daily word guessing game where you have to try to guess the word in 6 or less tries.

This, from Wikipedia, explains the game:

Every day, a five-letter word is chosen which players aim to guess within six tries. After every guess, each letter is marked as either green, yellow or gray: green indicates that letter is correct and in the correct position, yellow means it is in the answer but not in the right position, while gray indicates it is not in the answer at all. The game has a "hard mode" option, which requires players to include letters marked as green and yellow in subsequent guesses. The daily word is the same for everyone. The game also has a dark mode as well as a high-contrast theme for colourblind accessibility, which changes the color scheme from green and yellow to orange and blue.

I have found that most that most days I can get the daily word in 5 tries or less (mostly 5 though).  Interestingly, there is a spinoff of WORDLE called LEWDLE, where the words are lewd, or naughty, words.  I have better success with LEWDLE than I do with WORDLE . . . getting the word in just 2 or 3 attempts.  Not sure what that says about my private school education 🤣

This went pretty smoothly. I have been marked down because I did use another eliminator (pricy) at turn 4.

I almost posted the extreme octordle results by accident as the score was identical but the order of solving them wasn't, of course.

alien/shout/disco-which is much beloved with the octordle makers so I thought it was in with a good chance, but it helped with placement, at least/visor. I couldn't figure what else it could be. There may be other answers but this was the word I thought of.

This was a good one for me today in that one answer led to another. Well, mostly.

I took a risk on turn 4 and tried clean, could have been glean. But I like C, it is often a useful letter to have out.
I made a mistake on #8 further down and tried miner but at least by then I had the D and the L already exposed so got finer on the next turn.

alien/shout/fudgy.
After turn 2, I actually wondered if it could be that old favourite of Octordle, waltz. but then it could be fatal, so I used that 3rd eliminator as there probably were other answers out there as well. The green Y threw me, I wasn't expecting that, but it solved it.

Today's words flowed reasonably well, one to the next.

I almost made a mistake on #7 but past experience helped me out.

I had L O T yellows and a green E in 4th spot.
I was tempted to try motel but I've been caught with that before.
I am not sure if motel is an Australian word. All I know is if I think the answer is motel, it usually turns out to be towel.
