No creature, no person, no THING is coming anywhere near Coffs Harbour houses for water ... it's so wet here ...
My critters look kind of like those moths, but without the feelers and without wings. Maybe a more triangular bottom???

kopenhagen5 I've found that surface insect spray is pretty effective ... it's funny though, I've never seen those insects before ... and they don't stand still long enough for pics ... not even for me to get a clear image of them to explain.

You can buy Pantry Moth devices from Coles. They work much like sticky fly paper coils. I had an invasion of these moths & so I put all flour in the freezer & all dry goods in sealable containers. I opened the moth catcher & caught them all.
I think they lay weavil eggs & the moths are the result after gestation but I haven't researched that theory.
Anyway the moth catchers last forever, that's if they don't get too full of moths so they worked for me.

It's the heat that attracts the creepies. X-(

Not just heat......This rain has brought in leaches (and once it gets steamy later on) = ticks & snakes looking for dry ground. We have more spiders in the house than normal = feasting on all the flying bugs...lol. We just watched a baby huntsman stalk and kill a moth and then run off behind a painting.
We 'never' kill huntsmen or daddy long legs because they do a good job keeping the bugs down. One of my g/friends literally has a screaming panic attack if she even sees a hunty spider.= must scare the hell out of the poor spider...lol
