We are going to Sydney

Going on a holiday to Sydney in a a couple of months.

I grew up there but havent been back for 15 years.

Hubbys only been a couple of times and its the first visit for the kids.

Will be staying in Manly (where i grew up). I am so excited to see it all again.

We will be driving over but hoping to not need to use the car once we get there. Cant wait to take the kids on a ferry and visit The Opera House, Taronga Zoo, Darling Harbour, Power House Museum etc.

Anyone live in Sydney who can give me a bit of an idea about how much ferry trips cost? Are there passes you can buy for families that cover ferry and bus rides?

Have been to the website but its very confusing

Seriously? I have been to a lot of zoos around the world (and a few times to the cute Mogo Zoo) but on a beautiful Sydney sunny day, you can't beat a day at Taronga. Espescially if you have littlies.

Daydream - the trip from Many to CQ is about 30mins.

I like Taronga Zoo a lot also ( and I have also been to quite a few in NZ and other countries). The views you get over the harbour are great as well. Children will love it there.

We attempted to go to Mogo Zoo about 12 years ago. It wasn't open because it was winter.

The price of a bottle of water was expensive at Taronga, especially buying 4-5 for a family, but you can take your own.

Have a great holiday DDB, Sydney is one of the best cities in the world.

I recommend the Tall ships harbour  cruise but it's a bit expensive for a family, they may have a school hol special on.

Enjoy Woman Happy

We've never bought a tag, avoided toll roads by setting gps to do that, however you may find that time consuming. In Qld friend just got on the net to pay day after using toll road.

This might help

ok, ive read up and i think we will be best getting an Emu Pass.

We are stopping in Wagga Wagga on the way and according to the E Pass site there are service stations there that we can get a pass from.

Lucky i thought about this before we left. I was just gonna have a heap of coins in my console ready to pay at the booths
