Weed - should it be legal?

Uruguay has just changed its legislation and is now the first country in the wrold to sanction the growing, selling and smoking of marijuana.

They have done it to put the illegal drug trade and drug traffikers out of business.

Personally I think it makes sense. If nicotine is legal than there is very little difference between the 2.

Your thoughts?

I would like to know how many people who are against marijuana, are drinkers. I reckon most are hypocrites.

Alcohol causes more damage, is more toxic and more addictive. People are more likely to suffer injuries drinking.

I would prefer to be stuck in a lift with a stoner than a drunk any day!!

I don't do either, siggie. Working with drug addled people and seeing some of the supporters in here is a great way to learn not to take the risk.

I don't smoke, well maybe a joint or three throughout the year. But that doesn't mean I'm going to be against it when all I see is mellow people having a great time......yet people drunk ugh.....so over trying to have a good night out and dealing with drunken idiots!
Or gutter drugs....geeze they are the worst! Legal prescribed drugs that people take to get off!!

I know lots of people who dont do anything else besides pot. know lots of professional people that smoke pot. drug addled? hardly- doing a okay.
