You would need to find the thread by Pimpy that explains it (if it's still around). I think someone missed out on having the 'most kudoed' photo awarded to them one week due to a misunderstanding, so it was decided that there would be two threads run at the same time and one photo will be selected from the two threads.
Well at least that's what I think the gist of it is!
