The current organiser announced there will be one continuous chat thread asfrom last weeks theme ( if it gets too long they would start a new one was their response when I asked why the change).

I like the threads like this, with the weeks theme in the title. Makes it clear what theme the chat is about. Posters that are new or don't follow the photo thread all the time will find the whole thread is about the current theme. With a continuous thread, they wouldn't know what page to start on. Questions about photos addressed to another poster may not get seen by them either if they don't follow the long thread.

Comments pos or neg should be seen as 'feedback' not complaints. I don't think anyone has ever 'demanded' changes be made they are just voicing their views.

I'm sorry, I didn't read that the thread would (now) be a continuous chat thread. I wasn't trying to go against her request. I think her request must be buried somewhere in the last chat thread. LOL> 

Should I self report my thread? 

As I said, I took a week off from posting in the challenge, and reading the last chat thread.

Yes, that was strange. Considering every week posters are encouraged to take the challenge and take a new photo to meet the weeks theme if that is possible for them to do so. At the same time it is OK if you post an existing photo you have (taken by the poster) that meets the theme.

TCM..that is the problem with a continuous thread.....posters aren't going to see stuff... whether it be info or questions asked.
The chat threads were usually started each week by the first poster that wants to ask a question about the current weeks theme.

I don't see this thread as doing any harm.

As long as posters keep posting photos in the challenge thread when they can, that us the main thing. Chat is a sideline!

I post from my files, and I take new photos each week.  

I like that there is a choice. Especially since a few posters don't own digital cameras. 

Jimmy, I think you misunderstood my intentions when I started this thread. 

I didn't see a weekly chat thread for photo bombs... so I started one. 

I also did not see a post on the previous chat thread about not having a weekly chat thread.

i like this thread. i like the separate threads each week. and i like the  other thread too. is there any reason why we can't have both? 

i think we can all make our own decisions on which one to post on,week to week,right? 

pimpy,is that okay with you/ rose ande puddle,as the backups,would that be okay with you? 

it IS very hard to keep your place on the other thread..sorry...

I think Pimpy's wonderful vision has been photobombed = spoiled!

Everybody just wants to/has to get in on the act. Week after week we do lap after lap of the same conversations. Aggghhh!!!

Jimmy, I think you misunderstood my intentions when I started this thread. 

Trying to straighten out a mistunderstanding, the back and forth to set it straight...it's too much trouble typing it out. Especially someone who's a slow typer. I'm not saying you're thick headed, but the past 2 weeks I've been dealing a with more than a few and it's making me cranky. It's definitely shortened my fuse.

The chat thread (for this weeks challenge) was continued on the thread from the previous week.  

Slow week, tough theme, but a great concept.

Also, my settings here don't work. I have to scroll through several pages to find where I last read.

That happens to me. To fix it (maybe?)....just above the threads where it says "New Message....Options" click options>>>Mark all as read. That works for me, takes me the last post read from then on. I have to do that once a week.

I wouldn't. I prefer a new thread with each challenge, but like I said...I just go with the flow.

As far as using photos from a file, or taking new ones. I prefer taking new ones, which is why I don't post them any more, just view and vote. Some have years and years of pics to chose from, and then there are some whos photos are too good to compete with. If I ever did win a challenge that would be my theme....take a new photo of anything.
