I rarely delete any photos. I don't know why. That is why I had those messed up photos (from a baseball game) that I used for the abstract challenge.

The time difference makes it hard for all of us to communicate at the same time. If the host of a thread makes an announcement about a new idea, in the middle of the night, there is a good chance that I'm not going to read it.

I loved the way pimpy ran the challenge every week. No changes would be perfect.

As far as people "taking over" this challenge. I don't see it that way. I started this thread because (as jimmy pointed out), the weekly chat thread has been the normal way it has been done for nearly a year. I waited four days before I started the thread, because I wanted to say something about the cat on the boat.

Photo bomb is a hard theme. That is why the thread is called a challenge.  Maybe next week, things will get back to how they were before.

Maynard, from the band Tool(and others), uses a merkin as his logo for his wine company. I laughed out loud when sin called herself a Merkin!

Google: Merkin Vineyards. I know many of you are music fans, so you will know the band.

I've heard theories before that we now have a "sanitised" version of everyday life because we can instantly delete any images we don't like.

Huh, I never thought about it before, but it's true. I've been known to photobomb my own pictures with my hand or finger while taking a pic, but I always delete or edit around them later. It's so easy now. Now that I think about it, it's kind of sad really. Some of the best (funniest) pictures are the ones that were never meant to be.

I'm glad there isn't a mirkin under one of the pics. false-11.gif

I dont have many photos suitable for the theme, but the ones I do have are photos of other people that I dont have permission to share. That may explain a drop in entries for this particular challenge.
